San Diego Zoo

Have you guys ever been to the San Diego Zoo? I've been fortunate enough to have visited 3 times now. The best thing about it is that the animal habitats are much more spacious than other zoos, and while it's still not quite the wilderness, I think it's definitely one of the better environments I've seen for animals in captivitity to be in. From a visitor perspective, it's fun to walk around the paths, get lost among the exhibits and watch the animals in action.

These are from my trip to the west coast a couple of months ago, but I couldn't resist sharing a few fun shots. Which one is your favorite? Mine is obviously the panda...

Desert Chic

I'm feeling tired tonight, but this editorial shoot brought me back to life a little bit. Loving the silhouettes and textures of the clothing, the light and the setting. It's only Tuesday, but I'm so ready for this long weekend. I'm ready to not have any plans, spend time with friends and enjoy the city I live in. Do you have fun plans for MDW?

Travel Inspiration: Tiny Atlas Quarterly

Are you guys familiar with Tiny Atlas Quarterly? I stumbled upon it recently and am in love with the photography, poetic narrative and travel inspiration it's been providing. It was started by a group of designers, photographers, stylists, etc. traveling the world "on set" together, to share the experiences and locales they were capturing as they did great work for clients. The work is a beautiful travel scrapbook, and I encourage you to check it out. I'm already looking forward to their next issue.

May Wishlist

Guess what this week is? Birthday week! That's right, I celebrate my 25th on Friday and am looking forward to a fun day and night with friends. Citrus and Sun

I'm just dreaming about sunshine and beautiful scenery today. New York City spring is in full swing, and it's hard not to be in a great mood. Sharing a couple of leftover snaps from California, and heading outside to enjoy the gorgeous weather. This week was off to a rough start, but it's gotten better by the day. The weekend is near - do you have any fun plans?

West Hollywood Rooftops

My good friend Kristina lives in West Hollywood and during my visit to LA last month, we took a quick peek at the city from her rooftop. It's a really cute space that would be perfect for lazy afternoon lounging. A storm was moving in though, and the clouds over the hills looked ominous. But I found it to be a really striking combination against the blue skies.

And then I couldn't resist taking a snap of her pup - super cute, even if he loved stealing my socks.

Dynamic Duo: Florals & Brights

Happy Monday, readers. Hope you had good weekends. Mine was great - filled with adventures into Brooklyn, great food & fun. Today, I'm feeling inspired by spring (which will get here someday, at least that's what I've been telling myself..) and floral prints. Paired with fun brights, like in the two looks below, I love the modern edge it takes.

Fashion Forward

Another style post up today - continuing through my collection of photos from Palm Springs. This time, I paired my favorite black romper with Karen Walker sunnies, a classic pair of summer sandals and a big gold cuff. The red lipstick was a bold accent to it all. I love the lush green backdrop too - Palm Springs was really beautiful and our hotel had the most well-kept grounds.

I think this look is easy, and perfect for a date or dinner out with friends. I know I'm looking forward to some summer nights to break this combination out again. What do you think?
