It's been awhile since I've done one of these posts, and I'm introducing a fun new twist on my usual series. I've paired an awesome street style look with pieces you can use to recreate it. This time, it features a bright neon sweater, some comfortable denim and a pair of wedges. I swapped in boots for the wedges in the photo with cooler weather coming up. Let me know what you think about this new iteration of Street Style.

So, here it is. Part one of many from my recent trip to Spain. Barcelona was our first stop, and I was amazed by how beautiful the city is. The architecture is really incredible, and gorgeous alleyways and streets come out of nowhere and beckon you to explore. We spent a lot of our days walking through the streets around the famous strip, Las Ramblas, and these photos are from some of those daytime walks. With cafe con leche and fresh juice breaks in between, a day full of wandering went by quickly. The first night in Barcelona, we walked quite far, from our hotel in the Eixample District to Las Ramblas to the beach, La Barceloneta, and back up to our hotel again.
I think the photos below really capture the mood of Barcelona, and highlight the narrow streets and open squares within the city. The top right shot is one of my favorite, because it juxtaposes the classic architecture of the city with a much more modern structure. I also love the sliver of light that shines through in the photo of the alley in the middle row. These are just a few of what I snapped in Barcelona, and I'll have another set to share with you soon. I've been poking around on Etsy a bit more these days, and love what I've been seeing. Also, inspired by Tina Roth-Eisenberg's speech at Alt, the thought of side projects has been on my mind. Especially her advice to just go for it. There are some great bloggers out there with amazing craft and design skills, and their side projects always excite and intrigue me. One day soon, I'm going to go for it too. In the meantime, here are some products on Etsy that I've been loving.

Alt NYC happened on Thursday, and it was a great day of learning, smiles and networking! I wanted to share a photo recap of my experience with you. I met so many lovely ladies and one of my favorite parts was getting to mingle with all of them throughout the day. In addition to that, there were informative panels, amazing food spreads and a fun rooftop party afterwards with the most gorgeous view of the Hudson.
There were some great talks at Alt. My favorite was the kickoff keynote by Tina Roth-Eisenberg, author of SwissMiss, and genius behind Tattly, Creative Mornings, TeuxDeux (the list goes on and on..). She had some wise words to share on the importance of side projects, and spoke with such a genuine, honest voice. I really loved that. I even got (temporarily) Tattly-ed by her later on during lunch. We also heard from some of the editors behind Martha Stewart Living (Pilar Guzman, Lucinda Scala-Quinn and Kevin Sharkey), notable bloggers Katie, Jenny and Natalie, founder of Figment and the social media teams behind West Elm, Etsy and Tea Collection.
Alt NYC took place at Martha Stewart HQ, so of course, there was an array of crafts and delicious food served throughout the day. These berry tarts were a favorite of mine. It's the best time of year for fresh berries, and combined with custard and a graham cracker crust, these were the perfect sweet snack after lunch. Also, another surprise of the day came when Martha Stewart herself stopped in for a hello.
Just walking around the corner from the Alt stage presented a breathtaking view of props used by the Martha Stewart Living team during photo shoots. And let's not even get into the light in the space. The west side location of the building allowed for the most gorgeous natural light I've ever seen in a NYC space.
There was tons of mingling and chatting at Alt, in between panels, and at the end of the day, we headed up to the rooftop for a fun after-party. My drink of choice was an Aperol Spritz, and I got to make even more friends. So glad to finally meet you, Rebecca!
Naturally, one of the best parts of a conference (especially with a group of fashionable, fun bloggers) is combing through business cards after it all. I think I amassed quite a varied collection, don't you? Hello to Melissa, Julie, Grace, Brooke, Kate, Jill, Damaris, Donna, Amy, Katie, Elizabeth, and Lorien and Joanna. It was so nice to meet you all! And Cara, Megan, Mackenzie, Jordan and Melissa, I loved finally meeting you in person after following your blogs!

Today, I'm excited to be skipping off to a day full of new faces, interesting panels, great speakers and more. That's right, I'm headed to Alt Summit: NYC Edition. I can't wait to meet a bunch of bloggers from all over, and share my little space here with others as well. I love the online blogging community, but sometimes, it's also nice to put real names and blog names to faces, and interact in person too. I really can't wait to see what the day holds. I'll be sure to share a recap afterwards, but in the meantime, here's a little quote to make you smile today.

Hi there, readers. If you're stopping by here today, you may notice some layout changes, as well as a more noticeable name change! That's right, I've officially made the switch over from "Sunshine Girl" to "Lanuchan." It's something I've been toying with for awhile now, but it's taken a bit of time to come to a conclusion and take the plunge. However, "Lanuchan" is my online identity across multiple channels and I wanted to introduce consistency, as well as move towards something more personal and longstanding. So, I hope you like the new look and name. Rest assured, my content won't change much but I am hoping to introduce some new series' for the blog soon.
And in case you're wondering what the heck "Lanuchan" means, it's my childhood nickname and still what my parents call me sometimes. It holds a special place in my heart, and also speaks to my connection with Japan. "Lanu" is my name in Japanese, and "chan" is an ending they add to children's names as a term of endearment. So, there you have it, and hope you like the new LANUCHAN.

Back with a new Wishlist Wednesday post for you all today! Featuring some lighter shades and cool furniture, I hope you'll enjoy it. That chair is really perfect (would love that in my living room...if only I had one month's rent lying around to spend), and I'm a fan of the chunky gold bracelet. I've actually made a little pact that I won't be buying any clothing, makeup or accessories this month or next. It's been going OK so far, and I'll keep you posted on my progress. A girl's got to save too, and that's the plan while I hold back on some purchases. But it's always fun to look, so enjoy the round-up below!

Two of my favorite things / people in fashion: Wildfox and Cintia Dicker. The shoot could not be sexier, prettier or more perfect. I love Cintia's look (she is the epitome of a gorgeous redhead) and Wildfox's campaigns are always spot-on. Together, I'm obsessed.

It's been quite a bit of time since I last posted a new "Q+A With.." series but I am incredibly excited to introduce you to one of my favorite bloggers, Jennifer, from Odessa May Society. Jennifer has such a good eye for unique design and I love her aesthetic. Her blog features gorgeous images in a neutral, calming palette, perfect product round-ups and lately, a fun dose of kid-friendly everything, because this lovely lady is expecting an addition to her family soon. Favorite place to travel to: My husband and I love to jump on a plane and head somewhere new, but my favorite trip is the one we take every fall. We road trip to the Cape then hop a ferry to Nantucket. It's so peaceful by the ocean this time of year. A great way to say goodbye to summer and enjoy the outdoors before the snow arrives.
The best hotel I ever stayed at was: Not exactly a hotel but a bed and breakfast in Florence, Italy. It's an old mill house converted into B&B nestled along the Arno river. Super affordable and the landscape is simply gorgeous and serene.
My favorite food is: Fish tacos...I could eat them all the time. And cookie dough ice cream. :)
Restaurant where I’m a regular: The Ember Wood Fire Grill. It's tapas style so we always indulge in numerous seasonal dishes in one sitting.
