Welcome to my little space on the web, thanks again for dropping by. I believe in crediting artists and designers properly here, so if you ever see anything that isn't linked correctly or to the right party, please email me and I'd be happy to fix it. On that note, all uncredited layouts and photography are created by yours truly, so please link back if you choose to share. Happy reading!
these dunlop volley sneakers look like the perfect pair to wear through the end of summer and into fall. i also love the redesign of the box and shoe by the hub group, especially that sole and the aqua herringbone pattern. kind of screams running around in the park, playing tennis, boardwalks and all that good summer stuff. i'm usually a vans girl but this australian brand has caught my eye today.
this is such a cute idea. boxsal makes simple, easy-to-carry, picnic boxes on-the-go. i found them on gilt taste, which just launched today, btw. i don't need another reason to shop but now that gilt has expanded into food and kitchenware, i just might have to take a peek now and then.
anyway, back to the picnic boxes. they're well-designed, with clever names like "today's date" and "office escape" (my favorite--how cute is that suitcase box?) and are even designed sustainably with compostable plates, utensils and more. this gloomy weather is making me think of the park and picnics. i want one of these to fill with st. andre cheese (my newest obsession, you have not lived until you've tasted this cheese), a fresh baguette, some jams, crackers, sandwiches, pastries and a yummy bottle of wine. at the first sign of sunshine, i'm heading to central park to fulfill this rainy-day fantasy.
i've been looking for a new bronzer. mac has answered my prayers. they also fulfilled my need for cheery, surf-inspired packaging. everyone knows my secret dream in life is to be a surfer girl. i'll also obviously be needing the lip tints and bronzer highlighting stick. this collection is perfect for me. the only problem now: waiting until may 26th. it might kill me. ooh and ahh over the collection below.
and to complete the shopping spree, throw all of your surf, baby purchases in this adorable makeup pouch...they've really thought of everything, haven't they?
happy friday all! some pretty tea stack illustrations for you today, to brighten up that east coast gloom. created by peskimo, these cute, cool illustrations of tea boxes are pretty awesome.i'd love to buy them in a print! obviously the panda is my favorite, then it's a close second between elephant darjeeling and earl grey. hope you have a relaxing, stay-in-bed, movie marathon kind of weekend!
this wine i stumbled upon at a wine shop near my home in nj is delicious, but i have to be honest and say that the packaging is really what drew me in at first. it's called jam jar, and the adorable red checkers that are on top really make the bottle stand out. to make it even better, this is a sweet shiraz from south africa, and it really is delicious and great for dessert. can't wait to pick up more of these babies.
naturally, it stands for bring your own tea. and now you can, with these cute on-the-go tea packets from sanctuary t in nyc. they come in 4 flavors, english breakfast, watermelon, spring harvest and genmaicha matcha (my fave), and each packet has 10 servings of loose leaf tea and biodegradable tea bags that you can take wherever you travel. let's be honest though, i'm really just a sucker for the packaging. check them out here.
i've never been a fan of the large vitamin pill. in fact, i've resorted to eating gummy vitamins made for children just because they're cuter and taste better. but, if the below vitamins were actually produced, i would probably have to switch over to these. easy on the eyes and definitely easier to consume in liquid form, these vitamins wouldn't be an eyesore on my desk or in my bathroom cabinet. in fact, they'd almost be..too pretty to swallow.
people who know me are familiar with the typical situation that haunts me at target. me: "omggg this is so cute, i need this." rational friend: "ranu, that is a [insert superfluous item here], you do NOT need that." me: "but looooook, at the [insert neon/shiny/colorful/cute aspect that drew me in]" and that, my friends, is how target gets me, every damn time. this whole anecdote is really to prove that i am merely a sucker for packaging. put anything in a cute package, and i might be sold. similar to these peanut butter and almond butter jars below. thank god these are just a concept by danielle davis, and not actually on shelves. because then skippy would definitely be losing a customer. loveee.
